It is a known fact that when we go Powerboat Racing we are not insured, most of us think only of the boat but give little thought to ourselves. It is thought that many RYA members go racing without disclosing this fact to our Life Insurance providers and put our families at risk of non payment in the event of the unthinkable. 

In most cases when you disclose that you take part in any high risk leisure pursuit, your provider will issue cover but not while you are racing, this is known as an insurance exclusion.

Even if you dont race but own a high speed craft, this is still considered a high risk activity and it needs to be disclosed.
